I say let them. I liked the overall concept they were trying to go for, even though it was poorly executed. They could probably make the "worst Sonic game" even better.

Keyword here being "fans." It's not an official product, meaning there's only so much we can do with it in terms of ownership, as without Sega's official seal of approval, it would have no monetary value.
