Switch 2 Marks the End of an Era for Super Mario
I agree with you 100%. The noises Mario began making (ho! Ha! Woopie!!) In Mario 64 were fine I guess. And him saying "here we go" I think was also in that game. Fine. The graphics and gameplay were so breathtaking at the time that Mario's sounds were the last thing I was paying attention to. But ok. I don't remember when this began but then Mario began saying "just what I needed!!" Every time he got a power-up. Okay it's getting annoying now. The real problem for me began, when newer versions of older Mario games I.e the remakes began inserting all of this nonsense into the older 2D platform type games, for Wii, switch etc. Super annoying. Distracting, and made me actually resent that dude who was doing his voice. Now I realize here it's not his fault that Nintendo hired him and made these decisions, but personally I don't think Mario should be talking at all.
