Yes, god forbid the Japanese series set itself in Japan finally. There's a reason it's been "done to death". It's iconic. And no we don't have a massive amount of horror games set in 1960s post war Japan set in a rural town with distinct and specific ties to a particular demon/superstition. Additionally, Silent Hill is in Washington State. So what link is there between the two locations. Oh nevermind, a Japanese developer chose to have a character that's in highschool due to highschool being seen as the most free and magical moments of their lives. After highschool they enter the crushing corporate work culture that wears away at them. Highschool has a cultural importance to Japanese. That is why so much Japanese fiction is set during this time in one's life. Not to mention the writer they brought on write the "When they Cry" visual novels which are incredibly popular and incredibly disturbing. He sees this as his best work ever.The first new Silent Hill soundtrack from Yamaoka-san since 2009... But nah, "generic school girl horror".
