I'm anime-only. So far, it is one of the most emptionally devistating animes I have ever seen. It definitely has had some touching moments, but overall it has been DARK so far. I don't remember being this emotionally devistated by an anime since I watched Made in Abyss.
I mean, Solo Leveling is cool, but IMO it is pretty shallow overall. It's like watching a big budget "popcorn movie." Great visuals and fights, but I think those are the only areas where the show really shines. For recent anime, I prefer Delicious in Dungeon and Frieren to Solo leveling (although I like Solo Leveling a lot).
As for Tokopi... Episodes 1 and 2 absolutely blew me away. I enjoyed episode 3 a lot, although not quite as much as the first two episodes. If it can keep the quality of the show where it is (I haven't read the manga), then Takipo is going to easily top Solo leveling for me. Time will tell.
Takopi's Original Sin surprised me, as I haven't read the manga. One of the darker animes I have seen and it has me absolutely hooked. If the rest of the season is as good as the first 3 episodes, there is a good chance it will be my favorite anime of the year.
