See AllSolo Leveling: Strongest Hunters Outside Asia, Ranked
the link about thomas andre's childhood says nothing about his childhood.
His parents are never mentioned in that link either.
America is also one of the only nations in the world that doesn't believe that people are born into nationality against their will, so immigration itself isn't technically possible with regard to the american nationality: parents or no parents. It is the choice of the individual and is always available, regardless of any decision made by parents. For this reason, mentioning the parents as immigrants or it affecting his struggle as a child makes little sense.
Solo Leveling Season 2: Who Is Beru? The Ant King, Explained
the design of the character, animation, ferocity, etc.
These are things that are done well, i feel.
However, the idea of the character as presented is aweful.
I would say the worst part of the show up to this point:
the problem being with the "king" arc.
Ants don't have a king.
The "queen" ant is a misnomer in real life and ants work around the queen.
Compounding this problem: the show creates this character as a "king."
The "king" then wants to see the human "king."
That's making an already not very intelligent issue in real life... Even less intelligent.
Let's say that ants did have a king: well... Then why would beru, the now king, want to see the human king... If his entire race is focused around a queen... I mean... It doesn't work that way with his race... And it... Doesn't work that way with humans?
So yeah. The lack of intelligence on many levels really removes the immersion from the show during those serious scenes. It's like being hit over the head with an unintelligence hammer while trying to focus on topics that are trying to be serious.
I wish they would remove beru's entire "king" concept, since it doesn't exist in the ant world or the human world to begin with... In any reality inside or outside of the show.
Does Avatar Korra Deserve the Hate She’s Receiving After More Than a Decade?
Legend of korra is a great show. It's in a different time than the original avatar show, with a differently aged avatar being the focus. We don't actually see korra's younger years or the friends she made at that time, just like we never saw aang in the other show at an older age or the friends he made then.
I like the mentions and callbacks to the original show, to give us glimpses at things we might wonder about, without really showing to much about it or trying to redo the old series.
Korra is great show for what it tries to accomplish. I like it practically as much for different reasons. I did have one or two gripes about the less "funny" romance elements presented by the young adults (since i seriously don't want to watch a serious romance), but they were mostly blown away by later episodes and other issues.
I don't need reminders about my lack of romance in real life anyway, so it might just be me.
The only other issue that struck me as off-putting was the sudden change of story-direction during, i believe, season 3: in one of the episodes, korra is captured right at the end of an episode. At the start of the next episode, the show displays korra held captive by completely different people that have absolutely no relation to her captures in the last episode.
^this is quickly brushed off by a comment: "the avatar that we captured was captured from us by somebody else outside of the show." And then the show continues from there. This was very jarring and i wasn't used to this lack of professional quality, since the rest of the show flows fairly well.
For those two reasons alone, i like the original avatar show a little bit more: and that's just because i can't think of any particular standout issue with the original show that annoyed me to such an extent. That's like comparing 100% like to 95% like though. Korra is great.
I'm so glad that they made korra.
Also aang let millions get slaughtered and the air nation die... For hundreds of years... So...
