I remember when Titanfall came out, people were screaming that it's insane that EA thought it was acceptable to make a game 40 gigs. I even saw a few people saying they were boycotting it until EA optimized it and significantly reduced the size. (If they actually did go through with the boycott, they're still waiting because EA never did that.)

And to think, 40 gigs would be considered small-ish in 2026.

Not having SMB3 in the top three makes this list invalid. It's arguably the greatest Mario game ever. If any other Mario game (especially 2D) seems to reach greater heights, it's because it's standing on the shoulders of 3.

And this is controversial I know, but: I think SMB2 should be in the top 5, specifically because it's so different from everything else. As a kid who played it when it first came out (yes, I'm old) I adored it and thought it was way better than 1. I'll admit this is probably biasing me.

My personal top three is SMB3, SMB World and 64. I liked World more than 3 as a kid, but as an adult I realize World couldn't exist without 3.

It's incredible what Mousey overcame to be what she is. Her earliest streams were limited to about an hour because she was so sick. She so deserves this all of this and more.

As for favorites, easily Henya. She's amazing. But I also really like Rin Penrose. Rin is a phenomenal talent.
