8 Best Zelda Games That Rewrote The Franchise's Playbook
I thought this list was ranking the games that did change the franchise as a while, and by that viewpoint I thought it wasn't great. Now with the correct pov, I do understand. But tears of the kingdom won't be as influential on the series as much as many others already have been like Ocarina of Time. Totk shouldn't even be on the list. Totk came directly from Botw and it's open world concept. Open air is a cool concept, but it's the only real mechanic in the game that differentiates itself from it's prequal. In order to give totk it's individuality, open-air I'm guessing will only be for tears of the kingdom, especially since almost everything else about that game is like botw.
Echoes of Wisdom, yeah there's Null that rewrites the lore, but the mechanics aren't that different from what we saw in botw and totk; it's just another build upon that restart made in botw. And with Null, I'm gonna say that I don't like how it contradicts the entire time line. But it's the latest game too so we don't know whether the next mainline zelda game will build off of the Null lore. So we can't put that game on the list either.
Ocarina should be much higher on the list because it marked the first 3D Zelda game, and made the base for every other mainstream game after it. I just overall think this list was poorly made, not to dis the creator, Just sharing my thoughts
6 Best Legend Of Zelda Bosses With Multiple Phases, Ranked
Same, honestly. The Gohma in Wind Waker was fun and I loved fighting it, but for me it was just another boss that kept coming back. The Ocarina of Time Ganon deserves a better place on the list, too (I say this purely for nostalgic purposes). But I do like this list. I also think Majora should be up there, but not when you include beating it with Fierce Diety.
