I feel like we've gotten plenty of non-Frieza villains, he was an antagonist 4 times (one of which he was one-shot by Trunks) and there's always three or four major antagonist between each appearance. I feel like every show *can* benefit from having an iconic, recurring villain, and Frieza just works.
