I'm pretty sure that's exactly what it's going to be like for Doom. Each difficulty will have pre determined locations for each slider, and then if you want to change some things around, you're still free to change up those sliders. I'm surprised games haven't already had this kind of feature for difficulty

If you would just use a bit of critical thinking here, the very fact that they tell each other that they care extra about each other compared to everyone else is a very clear indication that they're having a discussion about how they feel towards each other. It's quite literally a very early start to a relationship.

Just because feelings aren't expressed in the ways YOU want them to be expressed in doesn't mean people don't love and care for others deeply.
