You're in luck. Double Exposure is available on the switch. I already bought it for PS5 so I don't know if it plays as well graphically on the switch, but I do intend to buy it for the switch as well eventually for consecutive playthroughs.

She was a blank slate in the first game because she was a teenage girl in the process of trying to figure out who and what she is. I don't know about you, but I don't know too many truly interesting teenagers. Most of them are rather one-off blank slate characters.

The Max you met in the original Life is Strange is not the Max you meet in Double Exposure. Maybe you should try playing the game before you criticize it? It might surprise you.
