The Crow Ending, Explained
I like this movie. Sure, it wasn't as good as the original, but that was a cult classic. Bill Skarsgard and FKA Twigs worked really well together and did the best with a mediocre script. The thing is, they changed the wrong thing - they made Eric doubt Shelley. He would never have done that, and didn't in the original movie. That was what drew the viewer in, that once in a lifetime love that made someone defy death to avenge the loss of it. The injustice of their deaths, just as they were getting their lives together.
So, yeah, I'd add it to my collection - but it will never be a cult classic like the original with Brandon Lee. NOT because of the two main leads, who made Eric and Shelley very believable, but because of the script and peripheral characters that were so m'eh in comparison.
