As of around 17th September, The Sims team at EA have stopped working on Sims 5, and are now focusing projects on improving and adding content to the Sims 4, so the answer is that it is very unlikely, it appears that there will be no Sims 5 for a while yet

It appears that Project Rene is more about improving TS4 and is not TS5
