I actually prefer a LCD over an OLED for the console screen. I like the colors on OLED, but for a portable device, the brightness is not as good as an LCD if you play outside.
Plus the console would have been even more expensive.
For an Obsidian game it's pretty decent. Their biggest hit so far is 20k peak and the weekend haven't been there yet. It will sure be better than the Outer Worlds, and more people are playing it on Gamepass probably.
Sure it will be compared to other "brand" that did some exceptional numbers due to the fact every empty heads are against the game for ideological reasons but if you put these numbers in context I am pretty sure Obsidian is good with those numbers.
