Maria is actually playable in the Sega Saturn version of Symphony of the Night and is severely OP and really fun. Summoning the dragon can kill practically anything but bosses in one use. (Kills your MP bar by using it too. Lol)

Which she also appears in the game when you play as Alucard and you have to fight her. I won't spoil more then that, as it's a great addition to the story.
