I came to the comment section hoping to find a bunch of neckbeards raging about Rey even being on the list, let alone number one. Yes, she had plot armor to protect her. So did Luke, and Ahsoka, and (insert MC Jedi from EU you feel like mentioning here). Yes, we did not see her fail during many years of trying and training like Luke or Ahsoka. That's on the writers, though, not the character.
