Video Game Franchises That Are Officially Done

I don't think you can really say any of them are dead unless the IP is controlled by someone that refuses to green light a reboot like Back to the Future. God of War was dead in the water for years after the abysmal Ascension game that no one liked. The series ended with Kratos dead and the world destroyed. Not a lot of room for sequels. How bout Baldurs Gate?. The series was dead for 20 years! And the saga of the Bhaalspawn was decisively concluded. The player could even ascend to godhood. And here we are with a 3rd game coming after the second is old enough to buy beer

There's too many cases of comebacks to call almost any video game franchise dead
