See AllMetal Gear Solid Delta Proves That Even Without Kojima, the Franchise’s Future is Bright
Um no? Completing a remake proves, if anything, that without Kojima the Metal Gear series is going to be relegated to pachinko machines and remakes. No one has forgotten the fiasco that was Metal Gear Survive. This is simply riding the coat tails of Kojima and his work and contributions. While I'd love to see remasters of the originals and a re-release of Guns of The Patriots, that doesn't mean that the Metal Gear IP is thriving, or that the company has any idea what to do with the franchise other than remasters and re-releases.
As for the comment that there isn't much else to be done in the world of Metal Gear, we still have plenty of characters and plots/subplot that could be made into new game entries. There's Fox, Raiden, Ocelot, Liquid. All of these are just a few examples without delving deeper into the lore, hell they could do something with Sunny, or pull a fast one and bring Solid Snake back for a new entry, the tech is there in the games have him come back either through some new form of cloning or just imprint his personality onto/into some cyber body.
Kojima could easily adapt any of these into their own unique and fun game, because that's what he does. Without Kojima Konami's Metal Gear franchise has no future. You can say whatever you want about the man but he spent decades on Metal Gear Solid and created something that can't be replicated by a team that slapped a new layer of paint onto one of HIS creations
