As much of a BSG fan I am at my older age, I would much rather see something superb than wholly original. That said, if it came down to a choice of which bad AI fictional universe, I hands down choose Hyperion. If you know, then you really know how absolutely matrix level that universe goes while still being utterly original in the genre. Shrike, I need say no more.
