I like the deep south idea too, but I think Texas would fit would better than New Orleans. LA is too small and there isn't enough variety in the surrounding area unless you were going to do stuff in the Gulf, too. But the Texas map can be huge. I could even see them including a Battle for the Alamo and a new faction called the New Texas Republic

I could be wrong but I don't think Barb is going to be one of the one's that gets thawed in Vault 31. That whole experiment was about continuing the Bud's Buds program past the end of the world. The group's members were hand-picked Vault-Tec junior corporate employees, including recent Vault-Tec University graduates, not high ranking executives, like Barb. I think that executives were kept somewhere completely different because they would be needed to operate the company through the end of the world and beyond.

Where Winds Meet is already using gen AI communication with NPCs. They have a mini game where you need to accomplish a conversational task with NPCs like getting them to agree with you, coming up with a plan, or listening to their stories. If you succeed, they become a friend that gives weekly gifts. It's still pretty basic and easily spammed but it's an interesting concept that will likely get fleshed out even more in future titles. I think it adds to the immersion and roleplaying aspect of the game, but I can see how some people would be turned off for having to speak to a bot.

Unrequited love is the worst. No man would go through that much trouble for a woman he wasn't completely in love with and yet, Peach keeps stringing him along. He says that he's happy being her "really good friend", but deep down, he wants to get married and have a family. Unfortunately, at the end of the day, Mario's a simp, as sad as that is to say.

Ubisoft messed up by making it into a typical Ubisoft game. An ok story, tons of potential, but ruined by lackluster, boring, and fluffy side bloat. The RPG elements had little impact to gameplay and like most Ubisoft games, it wasn't worth finishing. It was just meh. Cheating at Sabaac was kind of fun though.

It's more proof that when you buy something digitally, you really are only renting the license for it. These companies can yank access at any point for any reason. We're currently paying $80 to rent games... Doesn't feel right, huh?

Microsoft bought all these studios just to get access to their IPs. Now they are gutting what made those studios great and you can bet, Microsoft employees aren't going to pick up the mantle. I hope the employees that got laid off can start their own studios and put out amazing games forcing Microsoft to pay well over market price just to access. I gave up my xbox a couple of years ago and I pretty much only game on PC. There really is no reason to even own an xbox anymore. It's not like they are releasing exclusives and honestly, the who Gamepass thing is getting stale. It's stupid to pay the subscription cost every month when there are so few day one releases. If a game pops up that interests me, then I'll subscribe for a month and cancel when I'm done with that game. Most of the games they have on there suck anyways. Good riddance to xbox. They have become the trash of the gaming industry and I have a feeling, it's not going to get any better for them. Phil Spencer should retire. He's running the company straight into the ground.

You need to check out The Fractured But Whole, Carleyjpn. If you liked Stick of Truth, you'll like the sequel even more. It's like playing a South Park episode.

Gamestop is this generation's version of Blockbuster. I'll be telling my grandkids about this store that sold nothing but hard copies of video games and they'll think I'm crazy because everything will be digital. Even trying to explain a VCR and "Be Kind, Rewind" to my kids now get me weird looks.

My backlog is full of games that I started and got bored with or distracted by other games so I tend to agree. There's something to be said about a huge RPG that takes 100+ hours like RDR2 and I think there is a place in the market for them, but most story rich games would be better off if they were more concise.

I don't need a photo mode. I rarely use that feature in other games. New content like an expansion would be amazing. Better yet, start working on a prequel story or let players play as other expeditions. There is still a lot you can do with this that fans would eat up. I'm close to 100% on it and I still want more.
