What happens when a Final Fantasy doesn't betray its legacy by making hack and slash combat...

I can't stand that FF decided to join the genericness of nearly all other games by going down an action based route over the immersion that built it

You missed the biggest reason of all, returning the forgotten legacy which was dropped after games like Lost Odyssey... It's been 15 years since we saw this following of game trajectory that lots of developers dropped due to "gamers just want to button bash" or "RPGs should only be anime/cartoon"

I'm so glad we're back in track and Sandfall deserve ALL the reward for returning us all to the right path

The Pro "could" be worth it, but unfortunately some developers have let that possibility down, such as Silent Hill 2 Remake, marked as Pro enhanced but was a significantly worse version, "fixed" to remove the enhancements.

With news of the PS6 release in 2027 I seriously doubt there will be much of an upgrade either, unless we're looking at £1k+ price tag

Unsure what that has to do with the article, but it's a truth we unfortunately have to deal with. Hopefully Devs will learn sooner than later they're catering for a minority whilst pissing off the majority

It's so funny that people seemingly want high specs, soon release and low cost

People need to learn you can't have your cake and eat it... One of the 3 major points has to go far out!
