I think The Dark Tower movie borrows greatly from Dark House, while not resembling The Dark Tower books very much. Jake was too old in the movie. He was supposed to be aged 10. Roland looks nothing like Clint Eastwood, whom he so closely resembles that Eastwood might be this world's version of Rowland. They should have gotten Jake Eastwood to play Rowland.
