Boruto is a genius, but so was naruto in his own way. Naruto was stunted in many ways being ignored by the villiage and called a fool because he was stunted physically by the seals keeping his power at bay. If naruto waa given the same tools of sucess in his first 10 years of life he could have been worthy of his dads sucession much earlier. Naruto had to work so much harder to achieve it.
