She's an example of good character design in the "classic" superhero style. Her costume is reminiscent of carol danvers when she was Ms Marvel and she has a similarly proportioned body and then he added little details like the metal soles to her boots that show what her quirk does plus her personality and fighting style is fun, it's not a wonder he likes drawing her.

Virgil isn't the only person that could find a cure he's just the only known one at the time. The master could have probably cured super mutans if he hadn't wanted unity and ghoulification is directly opposing to FEV, someone finding that balance would find a cure.

DiMA is a liar and manipulator. He appears to show remorse but sends you off on personal assassinations to further Acadia. The reason you turn up at far harbour is because you're looking for a girl who thinks she's a synth. She isn't but DiMA tells her she is then tells the soul survivor that he is too.

If you take the choices as having binary outcomes without the context of a wider franchise you're closer to being right about Virgil but the rest have implications outside of the surface value the game gives.

When the full RE7 demo was released I thought the molded in the basement was a regenerator of some sort. I'm not sure if they're too powerful or too gimmicky to be a main enemy type, they're scary but needing the thermal scope to deal with them makes every encounter after the first few a chore and I'll be honest it's their sound design that makes them so effective. I remember playing the original and feeling dread when that breathing started, I'm deaf now so I can't hear it and it makes them quite cheesy enemies that just appear from nowhere but they lose that fear factor, playing the game with your sound off would definitely make it harder but it would turn into a by the numbers 3rd person shooter

Street fighter the movie and super adventure rockman are far, FAR from unknown street fighter especially since it's such a bad, potentially the worst way you could play a street fighter.

I wouldn't really consider Lovecraft as gothic horror mainly because of it's wider implications past the immediate stories. Cosmic horror was coined from the mythos and as the grandaddy of the genre I'd argue it's pure cosmic horror, even for the most part the majority of stories don't take place in classic gothic settings and whilst they might have that look (especially with call of cthulhu) I think it's important to make that distinction just so that anyone that sees the list and wants to play doesn't expect the Sherlock Holmes experience from the sinking city.

There was actually a very good reason for it given much, much earlier in season 1 and it seems to have been forgotten as a throwaway comment but it did hold true for a long time. I think you're taking "the character died" from the canon endings (the good endings) as bad because you're not reading between the lines. Yes, Jack dies... Many, many years in the future after living a fulfilling life filled with the love of the girls he saved and raised as his own. I'm not sure how "I actually had a good, long life despite my beginnings" translates as bad.

Yes, delta sacrifices himself but does so to ensure Eleanor learns what it means to be a good person and to thrive despite her beginnings. He can't be her father but he can teach her the same way.

Infinite ends with booker dies to shut down the alternate timelines but he doesn't does he? Booker as a tortured war criminal who becomes a tyrannical demagogue or a tortured war criminal with a crippling drinking and gambling addiction stop existing, only the booker who might not be the best parent but is nonetheless there for his daughter are left over, he undeniably loves his daughter because he went universe hopping to get her back and the trade off is booker will be booker regardless of what universe it is but how he develops as a person changes based on his circumstances. He gets given the chance to live peacefully with his daughter which is kind of earned when you realise the guilt he felt for following and giving orders he knew were wrong because comstock and PC booker are what happens when you don't let him deal with that guilt in a healthy manner, he's still alive he's just unaware of the multiverse.

I'm honestly surprised that defiance is rated so highly. In my personal opinion I found it to be the worst written in the series because it felt rushed and the most tedious to play with all of the switching back and forth between Kain and raziel.

The trouble with playing as a super mutant is that it would create an unbalanced gameplay experience. From lore we'd be left with characters that would have to have high strength and low intelligence and charisma but they have natural disease and radiation immunity too which would make things a little too easy. Super mutants are pretty much hated by everyone everywhere too so having any sort of meaningful interactions with NPCs would be cut out entirely.

I think dying light and especially dying light 2 could make this list. Night time feels like an entirely different game from daytimes power fantasy and the dark zones by day have always got you on edge

I wonder if we're getting types based on jobs or if characters will be modified to fit preexisting types. I guess mage soldier and the likes will already fit but it would be nice to get specific types like black mage and white mage. Anyway a chocobo or dare I hope for a cid deck is what I'm after.

I can't see any world where an updated control scheme isn't beneficial. The original soul reaver was built around a controller that didn't have analogue sticks as standard and relied on shoulder buttons to move the camera. I recently replayed it and it's really difficult to untrain your hands not to reach for those sticks so updating to modern control schemes will make it much more accessible than a straight 1-1 port.

I would say that dead space has a tiny map without very much to explore. I enjoyed it story wise but by the end of the game (about 8 hours in) I felt like the "open" world relied on being a homogeneous collection of grey wall panels and heavy shadows to give the illusion of size.
