I think they should remake the PSOne era games. Except maybe tactics, maybe just remaster that classic, keep the Ivalice art style and colour palette, but a cleaner look like the disgaea franchise.

The remakes don't need to be on the same scale as VII, which they basically rebuilt the game from the ground up. But, a IX(9) remake would look just amazing in own unique way, on the switch, using the art style and a similar colour palette from LoZ:BoTW/ToTK.

FFVIII would look good on the Switch with a PS3 level remake, but keep gameplay as close to both games as possible without being copy pasta with better resolution, making it "easier"/take less time to develop.

(Most of the time "you" is meant in general not you specifically, hopefully I made enough sense so the context gets through. Games like all art, are subjective. This is just my opinion.)

I would vote for a full remake of VIII, or remake the 3 PsOne Era Final Fantasy Games (Except Tactics at most Tactics getting a remaster, to get a cleaner look like the Disgaea franchise, but keep the Tactics/Ivalice art style, though I don't think it's needed, though 3D may look interesting...) I have wrote this whole explaining why the the junctioning system is actually really good at balancing the game(someone kept calling me, refreshing the page ), it makes sense GF trading their power for [Spoiler.] And using magic junctioned to boost physical and intelligence based stats will "weaken" character until spells are replenished. I hope that makes sense the wall of text gets bigger with each ver.

Also in my opinion VII and VIII broke the Mold for the Final Fantasy franchise. VII brought it into the 3D realm, and took storytelling in the genre to a new level. VIII came off more experimental with gameplay, and the plot, and well written characters.

IX with its unique bright colourful world, storytelling, unique well written characters, creating a true sense of adventure. And, while X was PS2 era and more linear, the sphere system, blitzball, and a story, that legit brought me to tears and not ashamed to admit that. These took what was left of the franchise Mold and shattered it into dust... Diamond Dust!!!
