5 Best Games That Let You Play As Historical Samurai
You should've included Nioh 2 over Nioh, as most fans of the Nioh franchise agree Nioh 2 surpasses the first game in all aspects.
Assassin's Creed Shadows was criticized by many Japanese fans as Ubisoft decided to not include a Japanese male protagonist for an Assassin's Creed set in Japan. Yes, Yasuke was a real historic figure, but there is a strong debate on whether or not he was an actual samurai or not. If he served in any combative role, he was most likely a bodyguard that always stayed near Oda Nobunaga. The idea of a fully armored samurai casually walking about in public completely breaks immersion. Armored samurai would only be seen when a province was actively at war. They would be with the rest of the army, not walking around individually.
There is a long list of criticisms against Assassin's Creed Shadows. To see it listed here @ #1
