I have no issue with the direction they've taken, but to presume a sequel based on more story involving Jin Sakai would shut down, "wall off", the ability to expand later is just ignorant! It would merely postpone it, slightly. They could have did it without repercussion. However, given what they gave us wit GoT, I have utter faith in the direction Sucker Punch decided to go. In fact, this new game, by no means, shuts down the possibility of a future Jin Sakai based sequel. As you said, and I agree, they seem to be establishing a "Ghost" franchise that could span cultures and timelines.
