Fallout 76’s Recent Controversy Makes the Case for More Un-Nukable Areas
As mentioned in many of the threads below the nukes launched at Fasnacht are not for new players they are for AFK players. Bethesda expanded the "No Build Zone" around Helvetia during the previous Fasnacht destroying several player camps including mine which I had spent over 200 hours building.
Which also did not stop the AFK Hoarde it only penalized players like myself who actually take part in the event.
The big problem is the Ridiculously low drop rate for new mask, which Bethesda says is intended to make them "Rare" it does not make them "Rare" it makes them ""Valuable" which is why there are so many AFK "Farmers" as these are not players who want the masks to wear or display they want then to sell on the app "G***F***" where they sell for between $40 to $100 a piece.
I am 54 years old and a former gametester I play on 3 xboxes & 3 televisions at the same time during this last Fasnacht I participated in nearly every event each day often playing for more than 18 hours a day. I collected over 800 mask during the events 15 day duration out of that 15 day duration with three characters I was able to only collect 4 of the "New Glowing" Mask's.
It is this combination of frustration and disgust that prompts most players to "Nuke" the Event. It is NOT GREIFERS.
If Bethesda truly wanted to fix the problem they would fix the drop rate for the "New" masks there is a difference between something being "RARE" and being unobtainable. I have been participating in Fasnacht for 5 years often for 10 - 12 hours everyday of the event and never once have received the "Winterman Power Armor Helmet". Players are "Nuking: the event because it is no longer fun to participate in it is ANNOYING.
We having been doing exactly the same thing for 5 years, getting the same rewards for 5 years and being punched in the mouth every year by Bethesda for 5 years as the only thing they change is how much harder it becomes to get the "New" mask. IF you would like 4,376 Soldier Masks I got you.
