See AllMagic: The Gathering's Commander Bans Controversy Explained
This was only a big hit to meta player who keep pushing MTG to be more of a 0-turn format like Yu-Gi-Oh which is only toxic, no corrosive, for the games longevity. The only people really crying about it is anyone who is pushing to have, not just 1st turn plays, but FTKs (first turn kills). Which pushes away new player who are looking to have fun with the game, unlike the toxicity of competitive player, who are just looking for that instant win combo. I can understand the drop in price hurts shops that have the card but shop owners will deal the do it with other card games all the time prices of cards fluctuate, staples become non staples, they deal with it in Yu-Gi-Oh all the time or any other card game at that matter. I say let the meta babys cry and don't change the ban the game is useless if it dies to meta babys trying to FTK all the time better to keep it healthy and welcoming to new commers as to keep the game alive as MTG has done for many many years

I'm glad they got rid of these cards now games can last a bit longer and not be stupid expensive to build with 2-300$ cards like mana crypt holding the game back people just don't understand this is MTG not Yu-Gi-Oh we don't want the game to live in a 0-turn format like Yu-Gi-Oh regardless of what format we are playing with in MTG don't let the meta fans ruin the game for everyone else keep up the good work guy
