I don't know if I believe him or not. But a lot of Disney's biggest movies have come from stories that were once under copyright. But Disney used them when they were in the public domain.

It could be a grift, but that's not what cost $500,000. "$500,000 creating, writing, and developing a movie package that included a script, an animated trailer, and storyboards." Can he prove he put that much money into it? I doubt it. But it won't matter if it's determined they stole his story.
