💯 percent agree with this take. The writers of Boruto really missed the mark. I mean, Naruto shone in the 4th great ninja war...but his shine didn't minimize the brilliance of Hashirama, Tobirama and Minato. Kishi even gave Might Guy his honor by letting him fight Madara. Everyone was instrumental in the story. Why did they feel they needed to nerf Naruto and Sasuke for Boruto to shine.

I absolutely hate that about the Boruto series.
