You should be able to! Which makes me think it would be smart to try and buy a used copy for less and then get the upgrade for $10 instead of $50. I'll probably just fork over the $50.
I might be willing to pay the 50 bones for a remastered version. Loved the game and I have hoped for a Days Gone 2. Maybe if enough of us splurge on this purchase it will create a renewed interest in a true sequel.
