Stormgate is divisive because it's highly derivative. It doesn't feel like it's offering up anything but a slightly modded StarCraft II

The campaigns not even finished so I don't know how anyone can say the Campaign is good. The few missions you CAN play are honestly kinda meh.

Id say it's the Torchlight of StarCraft, but Torchlight was legitimately enjoyable.

Planetary Annihilation is a frustrating game and deserve to be on this list, though the mechanics of the game aren't really hard to learn. It's quite simple honestly. Build a bunch of factories, build teleporters, swarm enemy planet.

The frustration comes in trying to manage multiple planets on an unintuitive interface with archaic automation functions, and the utter lack of strategic depth.

The AC games are full of interesting, diverse, and likeable characters. Many of them have been historically relevant.

Tell me, why was Yasuke counted amongst this number?

Because he was black in Japan? Other than that's the dude was literally a slave made into a glorified squire. He was only bought by his master to be a conversation piece. He had zero historical significance.

He wasn't even that popular until like a year ago. And only became so because DEI groups needed a "champion".

Why not have another prevalent Japanese historical figure or just a Japanese character in general, to fulfill this AC game set in Japan? Why has Yasuke become such a rally flag besides he was black in Japan?

The issue isn't with it being game vs real life. The root of the issue is thsr by just letting it slide, you are encouraging this sort of thing to creep.

I'm sorry but DEI is not okay. In theory it's cool, but pandering and tokenizing just to virtue signal, especially if the price is the integrity of your project, is not okay.

I write. I write a lot of female characters. My characters are all manner of different races and cultures. They are so because the world I build makes them so, and it's organic.

I never sit down and say "Imma make an Asian character because Asians need more rep".

This has leaked into everything we do now and it needs to end. The far reaching consequences will be bad, I promise you.
