Regardless of if he lived past that fight with jinwoo (which is never confirmed nor denied) he’s alive at the end of the manwa because of jinwoo using the cup of reincarnation to go back 10 years, 10 years prior kandiaru had no relations to the system as it didn’t exist for years prior, and jinwoo refights the monarchs with no reason to search after kandiaru as ashborn never reached out in that timeline
