It's just blue to match the controller. All of the receivers for their ultimate and sn30 pro controllers have that brick design. It was originally a reference to brick blocks from mario games since they started out releasing controllers to use on Nintendo Platforms. Also the d-pad is still shaped like a snes controller's d-pad.
