The series made Naruto the scapegoat for every emotional problems that Boruto ended up with contradicting everything Naruto would have stood for. Like taking care of his kid and realizing that he should be with him specially since Naruto himself grew up without parents.
Naruto also plot device forgot the hidden rain which he had promised to help and thus it became the same story retold were it became a village were the villain of the series were hidden.

Boruto series almost character assassinated Naruto in almost everyway. He lived his life without a family and proceeds to ignore it when he finally makes one? He also apparently forgot everything he had promised in the original one like helping the hidden rain village which he and the alliance didn't do which bit them in the ass later making it a convenient plot device. Also just saying that he has barjyan mode doesn't nullify the fact that everything about og Naruto as his personality got ignored in Boruto.
