Pixel 6 was the last pixel with some meat to it. I’ve still got friends using the 6….

It does take time for updates and such to be released to support the new hardware just like computers when you change the os version (windows 7 to 8)…

I think all manufacturers have stopped advancing technology since the numbers show many people will buy a new phone every year, and if they don’t they’ll make it look like the battery is failing…😐

So yeah your not missing any great amount of tech jumps. Only scenario I would say is different is Apple for some reason, they keep making faster and faster chips with no advancement to their software (reverse of Google) only they keep raising prices to offset the lack of sales…😐
