The maps in the base game suck... It annoys me how hard they catered to steal CoD players. It's a goog game, but it's not really battlefield... Let's hope we get some bigger battlefield maps in the future and maybe they bring back closed weapons... 🙁🤷

Menus didn't rotate on my client, that's for sure. I didn't know there was a closed option until after the beta was over, and I played the entire weekend...

It seems obvious to me, that they are pushing this so hard because CoD has open weapons and they got good hype for Battlefield 6 so they want to steal some playerbase from Cod. To do this they need open weapons cuz that's what CoD players are used to... Too bad they are alienating the real fanbase of the game and destroying its identity. It's the exact same failure 2042 did (amongst many other).

I wil not buy this game unless original closed weapons mode is the first and default option in the menu... By all means go with both modes, but make closed weapons default in the menus. NOT like they did in the beta.

How the devs are unable to see how important this is, is beyond me, this is core battlefield identity...

Ryan I don't want to buy them. Was just stating an example of how much you could actually get for the price of one year with game pass... I'd rather buy 20 indie games than 4 AAA...

BIG mistake to have open weapons... This is part of the Battlefield soul... We'll see how this goes when we get full medic squads with sniper rifles on rooftops/hillsides that can revive each other... I understand they want to steal CoD players and open weapons makes transition easier. But they will alienate the real Battlefield fans with this cluster fuck of a decision....

Games should be bought and owned. I recently set up my retro consoles in my man/nerdcave. The joy of replaying all those snes, n64, PS1 and 2 classics on an oldschool crt TV was amazing. Can't wait to play them together with the kids when they get a little older... I wonder what will today's generation have to show their kids when all games dissappear with a subscription service...?

Agree! BC2 was superior in both campaign and multiplayer. Environmental destruction was in testing and not blown out of proportions. It was balanced and perfectly integrated to the extremely solid multiplayer maps! BC2 was the 🐐!

Nintendos hostility to its customers and the greedy move of putting all retro games behind a subscription paywall instead of letting you buy copies of old cherished classics makes me want to boycott the entire company and go all in on emulators. But then I got a 4- and a 6 year old that I want to grow up with the magic of Mario. So I'll probably end up buying it some time on the future... But every fiber in my body twitches at just the thought og giving my money to Nintendo... 🙄
