Lawsuits are more complicated. If he had done so during the movie, Disney would have to stop all showings of the movie. When the movie is not airing then if he lost the lawsuit Disney can counter file for x money lost because of the lawsuit. Worst possible outcome is they did steal it and now he owes them money because they won. Since he filed the suit during Moana 2 even if he loses, he only loses court fees. Second best scenario they offer him 300k-600k to just disappear and he takes that.
