Your right. What rids it of that title of being bg3 and Sims together is that it shares basically nothing with bg3 other than some random romance that only some people played, has nothing to do with the main storyline and has nothing to do with the main game systems, combat, exploration, spells, items or the massively more interesting and much larger other storylines in bg3 than some random vampire romance. You cant take a single side story from one game, find a game ALL about that type of side story and then say "seeeee? They are exactly alike!" Because....no, no they are not.

You seem to be misunderstanding what baldurs gate 3 was as a game. While romance is definitely an aspect, its not the main aspect. Your taking a single, side aspect (the romance) and then taking an even smaller very specific romance (asterion) and somehow using that to equate an entire game to another game that has.....nothing in common other than the fact that there is a vampire and romance. One game seems to be completely about this and the other (bg3) has it as a small side story. Bg3 isnt even Gothic in general. Its style is definitely straight fantasy, not Gothic. Thinking that a majority of bg3 fans are somehow going to love this game just because it happens to feature a vampire, romance and a Gothic theme doesnt make any logical sense at all. In fact it seems fairly childish. Sort of like a "look mommy, this bug looks like a rabbit. They both hop!" Moment.
