Dual wield has gale:doom that alone easily outclasses what the other weapons have to offer, not only that but combine it with phantom sword dance and you shred both stamina and health bars while healing yourself with each hit done and replenishing. You can also combine it with whirlwind alone, to do as much damage if not double as a charged mortal blow into limit:apex potent blow but without using the entire stamina bar.
