If the Switch 2 turns on, that's all it needs to compete with any future console. People will buy it just because it has a Nintendo label on it. It's a symbol of unwavering quality. It doesn't need to do anything else or have any of the bloated, unused features of other consoles. You could make it 16-bit again, and it would still sell.
