Minecraft is Not a survival game. It's not even much of a game. It's an 8bit half done development. Subnautica you have items to start, same as son's of the Forrest. Green hell should be added to this list.
Clearly this person has never played any amount of time in NMS. Keep your ship fueled or upgrade to the auto-reful upgrade and you can call your ship Anytime at Any part of the planet. Thus fast travel. Plus you can build portals, anomaly, freighter...all these allow fast travel options.
