I think it would be cool to add another mountain biome, like a high elevated flat mountain, and use that for the mining villages. It would be steep, so you would have to climb for a while before getting the reward- a mining village. Or dig through the mountain in hopes of running into the mineshaft system connected to the village. It makes it hard to get to but, as already explained, rewarding. I hope you know what I mean 👍
