The original is perfect as it is. The MC version will not be beaten, besides visuals and we already saw the first attempt to do so was poor. I think this will look great based on what we've seen, but I don't see what needs updating witb the gameplay mechanics, but I wouldn't be too upset with a alight truncation of the library.

I used really only the super shotgun and the impaler weapon that shoots bolts, whatever it is called. The rockets have uses too, but other than that the guns are flat. There is no need to shoot fodder as you need to melee or just shield bash them for pickups, so those skull weapons only were useful one of the nearly last bosses. The rest of the game is just mashing parry, at least on nightmare. Sucking any enjoyment out of them seems strange in a game that is pretty much lacking a lot of 'fun' like it's predecessors. I do think they messed this game up. The only fun weapon is the super shotgun. Luckily its all that's needed.

My buddy works at R*. There is no intent whatsoever for it to come out at console launch. There is no internal date on the pc version, just when it's ready. So probably 6months or so after.
