It's laughable how anyone thinks "all they care about is pvp". Sounds like you guys just bought the game a couple of months ago and haven't experienced the last 20 years.

If they maintain their evoker like movement abilities, dracthry become meta for PvE too. Good luck getting into high keys without being a dracthyr without the nerfs. It's a good balance for all players.
