This was explained when Aset erased Catherine, her dad, and Kasuf's memories with the Kara'kesh. It was a bit convenient, but that's how they managed to work around that issue.

Same here:) I've been hoping for a port for a long time. I've enjoyed most of Mistwalker's games, Lost Odyssey and The Last Story were amazing!

Fantasian is similar, but the backdrops are hand-crafted dioramas scanned into the game rather than a 3D model drawn and rendered on a separate program. It's beautiful though and definitely feels like an evolution of pre-rendered backdrops. Hopefully, we'll see more like this:)
