Veil Guard is a bait and switch scam. Waiting 10 years for a Dragon Age game and we get the abomination that is Veil Guard. Veil Guard is a Dragon Age game in name only. It should be delisted and forgotten. I have no faith in BioWare at all. Mass Effect is doomed. BioWare is going to murder the franchise just like Dragon Age was murdered.

Instead of giving away the game on PlayStation, it should be delisted. I am NOT downloading this abomination even if it is free. In fact, I wouldn't download and play if I was being paid to.

Veil Guard is a Dragon Age game in name only. Horrible character design, horrible writing, horrible plot, horrible game mechanics, and of course lack of player choice and player agency. As far as the pronouns go, Inquisition, had trans and gay characters and nobody cared the reason why, Inquisition had way better writing.

Origins, on the other hand, had amazing writing, an amazing plot, wonderful game mechanics and character design, a massive amount of player agency and choice, and it respects the franchise.

Veil Guard is an abomination. As far as I'm concerned, Veil Guard doesn't exist. There are only three actual Dragon Age games. I suggest anybody who has not played them to try them and see the Majesty they are. Once you've played any of the first three games, you'll never look at Veil Guard the same again.

And as a PlayStation subscriber, I will not be claiming my free copy of Veil Guard. I have a lot of fear concerning Mass Effect 5. If BioWare does the same to Mass Effect 5 that it did to Veil Guard, then that franchise is doomed as well.

I'm getting the real reason that Veil guard failed is because it's a scam. The reason I say it's a scam is because it was a bait and switch scam. For a decade Dragon Age fans were promised a new Dragon Age game instead they were given this piece of crap. Vail guard is a Dragon Age game in name only. As a result true Dragon Age fans have turned their backs on it because it is not a dragon age game in any real way. Then you throw in the incredibly poor writing, character development, player agency and choice, etc. I will never buy a Dragon Age game ever again. The first three are the only ones that are actually Dragon Age games and worth playing. This is the actual true reason that Veil guard failed. Dragon Age fans had to wait a decade only to be told they weren't getting what they were promised. If that ain't a bait and switch scam I don't know what is. I have no faith in BioWare at all anymore. I highly doubt that the new Mass Effect game will be worth playing or even an actual Mass Effect game. It'll probably go the same route as Veil guard except these idiots are probably going to make it a live service game. I'll stick with the original trilogy. In fact even Andromeda is a far better game than Veil guard ever could be. So in short Veil guard was a bait and switch scam. One more thing, Vail guard by trying to reach the broadest audience possible excluded it's built-in audience and when you do things like that you fail incredibly.

Veil Guard is a bait and switch scam. That's all. It's a fraud of a Dragon Age game. It's Dragon Age in name only. A total abomination of a game. BioWare betrayed the Dragon Age fanbase and aren't trustworthy. Mass Effect is doomed.

I have no faith in BioWare to not ruin Mass Effect just like they ruined Dragon Age. Veil Guard was a bait and switch scam. I wouldn't be surprised if they did the same with Mass Effect.

If we are lucky, BioWare will go out of business in 2025. Dragon Age is dead. Mass Effect is next to die. BioWare don't make good games anymore. Veil Guard is a Dragon Age game in name only. I don't have any hope that the next Mass Effect game won't be exactly like Veil Guard. It'll be a Mass Effect game in name only. I'll never buy a BioWare game again. Exodus looks more like a Mass Effect game so far. I'll probably be buying that instead.

A better article would be about the reasons to save your money and not buy Veil Guard.

Horrible writing, horrible characters, horrible lack of choice, horrible lack of player agency. You get the point.

It's simple. I love Origins. Really enjoyed Inquisition. Haven't play 2. Those games had amazing writing, voice acting, player agency, and player choice. All of these things Veil Guard doesn't have. It's the opposite of a Dragon Age game. It's the reason I'll never buy a Dragon Age game again.
