This is a bad point, Ryoji never had a social link in FES and this game adapts that. No good arguments were made here besides dismissive behavior towards Reload content in favor of content from portable. Everything here is purely subjective. Ryoji made an impact in the original game and reload was even better. The Kyoto vacation trip endeared me to his character. Not only that, but the original narrative has much more subtlety and nuance when it comes to Ryoji and his relationship with Makoto and his friends. Ryoji is just one of many instances that underscores the FeMC route having a complete misunderstanding of Persona 3’s characters, narrative, themes, structure and tone and trying to make it feel more like Persona 4. I don’t need some forced tragic romance social link arc to make me care about him. Portable gave persona fans brain rot.
