All it takes is for the intro to Borderlands 5 to say a new vault on a lost planet was opened that stored the combined power of the Eridian race and suddenly you have hundreds of new sirens with new power sets. The plot could then be vaulthunters tracking down and apprehending rogue new sirens. Fairly easy to fix this oversight narratively.
