Physical discs after installed to the systems SSD drive are only scanned intermittently while playing to make sure you have physical copy you're playing. The game does not process anything off the disc after installation to run the game live as you're playing. I thought this was common knowlege.
I will not support games without a physical release. Licenses get pulled and are no longer available digitally when that happens. You also give up any rights of ownership you still have and any value, resale or otherwise.
